Employee Assistance Program

Penn Behavioral Health EAP maintains a strong clinical focus that emphasizes professional assessment, a direct connection to an outstanding network of therapists and providers, coordination and follow-up. The program includes:

  • Employee and Manager Orientations
  • On-going communications
  • Toll-free 24 hour access to Masters-level Intake Counselors
  • Face-to-face counseling for employees and their dependents
  • Follow-up and evaluation
  • Targeted wellness seminars
  • Educational resources for behavioral health issues

How to Access and Use
The EAP is always just a telephone call away. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, we can be reached at 1-888-321-4433. A professional counselor is always available to speak to you.

Services Available
Employee assistance services are designed to help employees and their family members handle personal problems. They need not be problems at work or problems that effect work. EAP help can occur in any of the following forms:

  • Consultation with EAP staff, which may resolve a situation or make a referral during the initial telephone call
  • Face-to-face counseling sessions with a licensed therapist
  • Referral into your mental health benefit to a psychiatrist
  • Referral into your mental health benefit to a higher level of care, such as inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment
  • Referral to an appropriate resource in the community
  • Referral to Work Life benefits (if your company has purchased that service)

Privacy & Confidentiality
The success of an EAP depends on employee confidence in the program. The Penn Behavioral Health EAP is designed to respect individual and family privacy and maintains strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines in accordance with all state and federal mandates.

Participation in the EAP will not jeopardize an individual's job security or opportunities for promotion. All EAP records are kept separate and apart from all employers' files, including personnel files. Only authorized Penn Behavioral Health EAP staff have access to EAP records.

There are, however, exceptions to confidentiality that are mandated by law that are made under very specific circumstances. Exceptions would include situations that involve individuals who make threats to themselves, others, animals, or property.

Satisfaction Survey
As an employee and participant of Penn Behavioral Health, we value your opinion about the services we offer. We need your honest input and critical feedback to ensure we are meeting yours and others' needs.

To this end, we are conducting a very brief survey about your experiences with Penn Behavioral Health. The information you share with us will be anonymous and will be used to enhance the quality of our services.

This survey should only take a few minutes of your time to complete. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important initiative.
